Eduardo Padron

Dr. Padron is the president of Miami Dade College (MDC), one of the nationąs largest institutions of higher education, and he has spent more than 30 years championing higher education opportunity. Under Padronąs leadership, MDC welcomes the largest enrollment of Hispanic students and the second largest enrollment of Black Non-Hispanic students in the country. The college ranks first nationally in associateąs degrees awarded to minorities and is number one in degrees awarded overall. Padron has served on the White House Initiative on Educational Excellence For Hispanic Americans; the boards of directors of The College Board, American Association of Colleges and Universities, American Council on Education, the Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching and was a founding member of the governing board of the Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities and the U.S. Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute.
